rom time to time, we get asked about our security grade glass products from somewhere outside our installation service zone. If you live or have a business located someplace where we do not currently offer installation, we are still happy to provide you with certain materials that you can get installed locally.
There are generally two main types of products that we can supply to you for which you can source local labor to install them on your own. These two products are Campbell security screens and Riot Glass RG6 insulated glass units.
What These Types of Security Grade Glass Products Are and How They Work
These are custom-built security screens that can be installed on the exterior of your home, business, or commercial facility—right on top of the existing glass. We can make them to order for windows, single-hinged swinging doors, French doors, and sliding patio doors.
We build and customize these screens to fit precisely to 1/16th of an inch. They are designed to fasten onto the existing framing of your property’s glass doors and windows.
Our security screens are composed of stainless steel screen mesh and aluminum framing. The entire screen system is powder-coated to add a corrosion resistance layer and make them even more durable. The mesh comes in black, and the framing is available in 9 different color options, none of which have additional costs.
These screens create an additional physical barrier to forced entry and burglary attempts on top of your property’s most vulnerable entry points. When used in conjunction with a complete security system, including cameras and alarms, security screens are an effective way to deter would-be intruders from targeting your home or business.
Tight-weave stainless steel mesh resists forced entry attempts using:
The pricing of our security screens is based on the measurements of the doors and windows you want to cover. We make each screen from scratch using your exact measurements, so they will fit seamlessly into each opening they’re designed to secure.
You can visit our website to get you some ideas about the approximate cost for each type of security screen. Besides the brochure, you will also find other helpful resources on the page like shop drawings, order forms, warranty info, and installation instructions.
We also have a few videos on measuring and installing the security screens that you can watch. These will give you a good idea of what tools and skill-set you or a local installer would need to accurately measure and properly install the screens once you’re ready to order.
These security glass panels are designed to replace your existing dual-paned window glass with security grade glass. To install the Riot Glass, you must disassemble and remove your existing windows and doors, take the glass panes out, and replace the panes with the RG6 insulated glass units.
Though you are getting rid of your existing glass during this process, you can typically keep all your existing frames and hardware to reuse with your new security glass.
Riot Glass panels contain a thermoplastic interlayer that creates a formidable barrier to forced entry and keeps your glass doors and windows intact in the face of high-force impacts, whether intentional or accidental.
Our RG6 security glass is an ideal solution for retail stores and other types of commercial facilities when your goal is to keep your existing door and window frames while still protecting your property against multiple threats. It is also an effective security upgrade for homes, especially on glass patio doors.
Riot Glass is a cost-effective alternative to complete window replacement because you don’t have to shoulder expensive frame replacements, which often lead to more repairs of the surrounding material.
Riot Glass RG6 can:
As with our security screens, our pricing is based on the glass’s rough measurements to be replaced.
In order for us to produce your custom insulated glass units, you would need to hire a professional glazier locally to perform the installation labor. This glazier will also assist us by providing the precise dimensions and overall thickness of the dual-pane glass units you’re going to replace.
This is important because we need to ensure that we have at least a 3/4 of an inch overall pocket size for our security glass units to work. In other words, if your existing glass is not at least 3/4 of an inch thick, our RG6 Riot Glass panels will not be compatible with your existing frames and hardware.
We will communicate closely with your chosen local glazier to ensure that our security solutions will work for you and your home or commercial building. We always strive to ensure that our glass products get installed to our high standards to protect you and your property.
We hope this has given you a good idea of how you can boost your property’s security with two of our top selling security grade glass products.
When used together, in addition to other components of a strong residential or commercial security system, security screens and Riot Glass security glass are an effective and budget-friendly way to protect against forced entry, burglary, and other threats.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via phone, email, or contact form if you have any questions or are ready to order your custom security screens or RG6 insulated glass units. We will respond to you as quickly as possible to address any concerns or get you on your way to having a more secure property as soon as possible.
