ArmorPlast® is designed to resist penetration in UL752 Levels 1, 3 and 6. Our retrofit framing allows us to install the ArmorPlast® into your existing framing to significantly reduce costs and downtime.
Riot Glass® is a full line of ballistic glass available in single and dual pane options. We have ballistic makeups in UL752 Levels 1-8. We custom make each order and you can choose upgrades including low-E, low iron, privacy mirrored tint, low spall and no spall options.
Underwriters Laboratories and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) provide testing standards for the rating of ballistic and blast mitigation products. Below are the reference guides that designate performance levels for ballistic and blast solutions based on perceived threats.
This diagram explains what the various performance conditions represent and depicts the testing chamber used for testing bomb blast mitigation solutions. The room is 10-feet deep, and there is a witness panel on the back wall for detecting debris.
If the window shatters during the test and the failure is significant enough, there will be glass shards embedded in the witness panel.
Protection Level: SAFE
Response: Window Glazing does not break. No visible damage to glazing or flame
Protection Level: VERY HIGH
Response: Window Glazing cracks but is retrained by the frame. Dusting or very small fragments near sill or on floor acceptable.
Protection Level:HIGH
Response: Window Glazing cracks. Fragments enter space and land on floor no further than 3.3ft from the window.
Protection Level: HIGH
Response: Window Glazing cracks. Fragments enter space and land on floor no further than 10ft. from the window.
Protection Level: MEDIUM
Response: Window Glazing cracks. Fragments enter space and land on floor and impact a vertical witness panel at a distance of no more than 10ft. from the window at a height no greater than 2ft. above the floor.
Protection Level: LOW
Response: Window Glazing cracks and window system fails catastrophically. Fragments enter space impacing a vertical witness panel at a distance of no more than 10ft from the window at a height greater than 2ft above the floor.
